- Motivated by what is best for our wish kids and families
- Do "what ever it takes" to complete a wish - (help set up a computer, build a play system, etc.)
- Good at tracking down resources and researching options for vendors
- Open mindedness - family situations/composition

- Available when needed during a wish - it may take three months or up to a year
- Available to make and receive phone calls
- Read and respond to e-mails on a timely basis
- May have sporadic time requirements based on wish
- Concentrated periods (several hours a day for a few days in a row) of time at the beginning and end of a wish
- Phone calls & errands during the weekday
- Evenings and/or weekends based on wish
- No major changes going on in your personal/professional life

- Able to volunteer for a limited set number of hours
- Shifts typically not longer than three to four hours for a given event
- Flexible daytime, evenings and/or weekends based on event
- Timeframe is scheduled well in advance
- Random time shifts based on event
- Able to notify the development and/or volunteer department within 24 hours if not available for your shift

- Able to volunteer on a regularly scheduled basis
- Able to volunteer during regular business hours
(Monday through Friday - 9:00 to 5:00)
- Able to volunteer for three hour time blocks at a time
- Able to notify the Volunteer Department within 24 hours if not available for your shift

- Able to think quickly on your feet and respond in a diplomatic manner
- Able to adapt to changing circumstances and situations
- Passion for the mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation
- Ideally having had a personal wish experience (granting a wish, meeting a wish child, knowing a wish story that is personally meaningful to share)

- Flexible daytime, evenings and/or weekends schedule based on the speech or given event
- Timeframe for giving a speech is scheduled with you well in advance
- Time commitment at a given speech can vary from an hour total to an evening dinner banquet
- Able to notify the Development within 24 hours if not available to give your speech
- Able to find a replacement speaker bureau volunteer (from roster provided) if not available to give your speech
