The Make-A-Wish Foundation® finances its work through individual contributions, corporate donations, foundation grants and employee payroll deduction programs. Make-A-Wish also accepts gifts such as securities or real estate and deferred gifts such as bequests, life insurance or charitable trusts. Civic organizations, churches, schools and service clubs sponsor special events that benefit the foundation.
In addition, the Foundation relies on in kind contributions of goods and services to lessen the cash expenses related to granting wishes.
Make-A-Wish DOES NOT solicit for contributions over the phone or door-to-door.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® is a 50l (c) (3) tax-exempt organization. As such, contributions are deductible for income tax purposes, as permitted by law. Our financial statements are audited by KPMG Peat Marwick and are available upon request.
