Donate Frequent Flier MilesGive Flight to a Child's Heartfelt WishMore than any other major charity in America, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® takes to the skies to fulfill its mission. Each year, the Foundation uses thousands of airline tickets to send wish children on experiences all over the world. Without the help of airlines and thousands of frequent fliers, granting wishes would be prohibitively expensive. However, most major airlines will allow their customers to transfer frequent flier miles either to the charity of their choice or to a charity fund managed by the airlines. These donations result in substantial savings to the Foundation, at no cost to individuals. The Make-A-Wish Foundation's need for donated miles grows each year. More than 50 percent of all wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alaska, Montana, Northern Idaho & Washington require air travel. Last year alone, the local chapter used 764 airline tickets to fulfill 174 travel-related wishes throughout the Northwest, most of which were donated through the frequent flier program.
